Pie Day or March 14, 2025, had the most number of Oklahoma mesonet sites in a 30+ year history to measure severe wind gusts (58+mph) in a single day with 63 sites. This broke the record a few weeks earlier on 3/4/25 that landed at #4 all time with 37 sites. March 2025 broke records for windy days in the all time top 5.
Latest storms make 2025 the wettest April in Oklahoma City & Oklahoma history
Oklahoma City just recorded its wettest April. The previous record of 11.91 inches was set in 1947. The storms and heavy rain on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, made this April (2025) the wettest one in OKC’s history. As of Wednesday morning, 12.54 inches of rain were recorded at OKC Will Rogers International Airport. April rainfall for Oklahoma City is at 12.54 inches with more expected as a storm continues to dump rain on the region.
